Michelle Davis, LSCSW is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker in private practice through Michelle Miller Professional Counseling, LLC. Michelle has over 30 years of social work experience working with individuals, groups, families, and children in school settings and both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings. She earned her Bachelor's in Education at Fort Hays State University and her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Kansas (KU).
Helping people walk through and possibly benefit from difficult times is a calling for Michelle. Life is stressful, and reaching out for support with grief, trauma, depression, anxiety, addiction recovery, codependency, divorce, and other stressors is sometimes necessary. Michelle serves adults age 18 and older in individual and couples therapy. People of all faiths—including those who are agnostic or atheist—are respected and welcome.
Her therapeutic toolbox includes Bowen Family Systems Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She is trauma informed, trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and experienced with 12 Steps of programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon.
